Pick up a newspaper, read a blog and see how Madame Hillary is being blasted by the party her husband helped revive:
Conyers worries.
John Edwards and friends are concerned.

The Dream Team
I've been hearing so much about an Obama/Clinton (or vise versa) super-dreamy ticket in November. Some Dems have even started a website calling for this unholy union. At this point, it's just talk--Dems need to unite a party so badly divided by the negative campaigning that both camps have participated in. I wouldn't bet the ranch on this occurring for a few reasons:
1. Madame Clinton is too proud to be second fiddle. She'd rather see a McCain win than an Obama win because a McCain win means she can try to run again in 2012. If Obama wins, her earliest chance at the presidency wouldn't happen until 2016 (she'd be 69).
2. This is still going to stay ugly. If you think there's bad blood NOW, wait until the door to the Clinton nomination shuts further. She's got nails, and she will use them if needed.
3. An Obama/Clinton ticket refutes both candidates main campaign arguments. Nothing could be further away from Obama's message of change than having a CLINTON on the ticket. She's been running around saying you need to have someone who's capable answering the phone at 3 a.m. and he's not the guy. How do you mesh these messages without looking foolish?
I can see their combined slogan now: Vote for Change and the Woman who Married the Man from Hope. Catchy ring, no?

So You Want to Volunteer
I get plenty of requests for lawn signs, buttons, bumper stickers and the such. Alongside these requests, I know people want to get involved and volunteer on the campaign....your prayers have been answered. Here's part of an email I received from the McCain team:
You can join the Ground Effort:
Help us reach out to other voters: We'll be conducting all sorts of outreach phone calls, door-to-door work, rallies, even covering polling locations on Election day in November over the next eight months. If you're willing to make phone calls or talk to folks in your neighborhood about John McCain, please let us know.
Leadership in your community: We are recruiting people to serve as Precinct Captains. Your job would be to recruit additional volunteers in your precinct, conduct direct outreach to voters in your precinct, and ensure that your polling location is covered by sign waivers and other volunteers during voting hours in November.
If you're interested in joining any of these efforts, or you know someone who is, PLEASE RSVP TODAY! We'll get you additional information and materials.
Please contact NJVolunteer@JohnMcCain.com with your full contact information (including your county of residence) and tell us which of these tasks you'd like to do.You can also call us at 703 650-5950. We'll connect with each of you to build up New Jersey.

A Personal Update
I've recently taken on a new job that has me traveling a lot more, so pardon my lack of posts recently. I'm back in the Garden State for a few days, and will be posting more as news develops.
